Size Requirement of Polyinosinic Acid for DNA Synthesis, Viral Resistance, and Increased Survival of Leukaemic Mice

Abstract

THIS study correlates the molecular size requirements of polyinosinic acid (poly I) and polyacrylic acid in four systems: (a) release of restrictions on nuclear DNA template activity; (b) prolongation of the survival time of mice inoculated with L1210 leukaemia cells; (c) production of interferon-like substances in the mouse; and (d) induction of viral resistance in cultured mouse fibroblasts (L929).
