DNA Repair in Human Leukaemic Lymphocytes

Abstract

CHRONIC lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) is a common human leukaemia1 in older people. Its gradual progressive clinical course is frequently associated with lymphocyte dysfunction2. In this disease lymphocyte counts are elevated and lymph nodes and organs are infiltrated with small abnormal lymphocytes which have scanty blue cytoplasm and round or clefted nuclei with clumped chromatin.
