Bulls, boutiques and balti
Chosen as an ideal location for the 2006 British Dental Conference and Exhibition, Birmingham has lots to offer. It is easily accessed by rail, road and air and there are dozens of hotels to choose from.
A moment's walk from the ICC itself is the canal side area of Brindley Place which boasts a variety of bars and restaurants, but if you want to make the most of Birmingham's cuisine, take a trip to the Balti Mile. Almost 50 restaurants in one square mile offer an authentic balti dining experience to round off an afternoon of perusing the exhibition stands.
If you want to find a last minute outfit for the VDP Ball, look no further than the shopper's paradise that is the Bullring. The stunning building with its guardian bronze bull houses a vast array of shops, boutiques and restaurants alongside more traditional Victorian arcades. Or you might like to visit the Jewellery Quarter, the Ikon Gallery or a plethora of other attractions.
