Linkage disequilibrium and haplotype structure of five GABAA receptor subunit genes investigated for association with schizophrenia

Graphical representations created by Locusview 2.0 software (Petryshen and Kirby, unpublished software; The structure of each gene, with vertical lines indicating exons, is shown above the bar indicating the chromosome 5 genomic location. In all, 132 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) used for schizophrenia association analyses are displayed relative to their locations in the genes. Linkage disequilibrium between pairs of SNPs is indicated by the pseudocolor matrices. SNP haplotype blocks of strong linkage disequilibrium are shown as yellow rectangles.
