Can someone help me with this puzzle: The names are not real but the DNA cm and segment information is real.
Great Grandfather ALLAN ADAMS marries (1) ANN BAKER and they have, among other children, one son:
1. BOB ADAMS
Great Grandfather ALLAN ADAMS then marries (2) BARBARA COOK and they have, among other children, two sons:
1. CHARLES ADAMS
2. DAVID ADAMS
Each of those three sons then marry three sisters, the daughters of EARL DANIELS and CATHERINE EATON
1. DIANE DANIELS marries BOB ADAMS, the son of ALLAN ADAMS and ANN BAKER
2. ETHEL DANIELS marries CHARLES ADAMS, the son of ALLAN ADAMS and BARBARA COOK
3. FRANCIS DANIELS marries DAVID ADAMS, the son of ALLAN ADAMS and BARBARA COOK
BOB ADAMS and DIANE DANIELS have 4 sons.
1. AA ADAMS (MM, a grandson of AA ADAMS shares 265 cm across 10 segments with XX}
(OO, a daughter of AA ADAMS shares 487 cm across 19 segments with XX)
2. BB ADAMS (PP, a great-grandson of BB ADAMS shares 211 cm across 11 segments with XX)
3. CC ADAMS
4. DD ADAMS (Shares 643 cm across 27 segments with XX)
CHARLES ADAMS and ETHEL DANIELS have 4 sons. CHARLES ADAMS is the half-brother of BOB ADAMS.
1. EE ADAMS
2. FF ADAMS
3. GG ADAMS (QQ, a daughter of GG ADAMS shares 269 cm across 12 segments with XX)
4. HH ADAMS
5. Sister: SANDY (RR, a son of Sister SANDY shares 254 cm across 13 segments with XX)
(SS. a daughter of Sister SANDY shares 231 cm across 12 segments with XX)
DAVID ADAMS and FRANCES DANIELS have 4 sons. DAVID ADAMS is also the half-brother of BOB ADAMS.
1. II ADAMS
2. JJ ADAMS
3. KK ADAMS
4. LL ADAMS
DNA evidence is sufficient to establish that XX is the son of one of the 12 sons of the 3 ADAMS/DANIELS unions.
We don’t have enough DNA matches/readings to determine the actual father of X, but using the DNA info we have inserted in BLUE above, can we definitively determine from which of the 3 ADAMS/DANIELS unions XX descends? Unfortunately, we have no DNA samples to compare to the third ADAMS/DANIELS union.
Or, is there simply not enough information to make such a determination? Also, if this is not the proper venue for this question, could you direct me to a better source?
Thank you.

My mother and I both conducted DNA tests (with Ancestry.Com) for ethnicity estimates. For one certain ethnicity/country my mother's result was 3% and mine was 2%....which is low.
My son conducted a DNA test (through a different company) to identify a possible tribe for his maternal ancestry (my side). He received the results and the tribe was identified as originating from the same ethnicity/country that my mother and I shared the 3 and 2 percentages, that I mentioned above.
So, my question is, why is mitochondrial DNA so low in percentage, in terms of, potentially identifying the ethnicity of my eldest female ancestor?
I hope that my concern and question is clear.
Best Regards,
Sonia

My husband has brown eyes and his two kids have blue eyes. His mother has blue and his ex also. I have green eyes and my kids have brown like their dad though my entire family has blue eyes. We are expecting a baby soon and I'm curious if it will have the blues or browns as I thought that brown was dominant. Thanks
