Late at night, when most people have already brushed their teeth and climbed into bed, Ed Perzanowski arrives to work the graveyard shift at a local talk radio station in Hartford, Connecticut. Every half hour from 11 p.m. until 7 a.m., he reads the latest news headlines live on air.
