Human cells used to cure brain disease in mice
Success in mice could be a breakthrough for disorders such as multiple sclerosis.
Human brain cells have been used to correct abnormal brain development in mice with fatal brain disorders, offering hope for treating a range of neurological disorders including some deadly childhood genetic diseases.
Those behind the new treatment hope that human clinical trials could be just a few years away.

We all consider stem cells as the therapy of future. As a consequence, I agree with Steven Goldman's statements, based on research data, observed in mice, which had severe neurological defects caused by a genetic mutation that stops them producing myelin. However, we have to pay great attention to the FACT that every stem cell, including human glial progenitor cell, is furnished by both n-DNA and mit-DNA, and thus - in case of biophysical-semeiotic constitutions - such as cell can transmitt the related predisposition to diseases,if there is the Inherited Real Risk, I discovered: diabetes, arteriosclerosis (CAD), cancer, a.s.o. As I referred in former comments also in this website (e.g., http://blogs.nature.com/reports/theniche/2008/04/ stemcell_skin_creams_a_san_die.html#comments) before using stem cells in whatever disorders physicians have to know perfectly possible biophysical-semeiotic constitutions of stem cell donor, to avoid that they may bring about other possibly more dangerous or severe disorders (See also my earlier comment on Washington Post website: http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/comments/ display?contentID=AR2007041101736&start=41 .
A FACT that most scientists, would rather it not be mentioned, is the HOPE implied by this line of research, for suffers of MS (Muliple sclerosis). It is fundamentaly important that caution has to guide this work, never the less one must understand that their are no absolutes and garanties or certainties and ultimatly it will be the patients, who will expose themselfs in the HOPE of a cure to their ailments.
