Rainforest logging threatens sea turtles
Displaced logs on beaches are preventing endangered turtles from nesting.
Logging operations in equatorial rainforests have an overlooked side-effect on marine life. Scientists have found that logs lost during river transport are clogging beaches in Gabon, preventing the endangered sea turtles there from nesting.
