Experimental cosmology: Cosmos in a bottle
Physicists often borrow techniques from other fields. But how far can this get you? Geoff Brumfiel asks if simple table-top experiments can provide new insights into the early Universe.
Take a look at water running in a sink and you'll see an intriguing everyday phenomenon. As water from the faucet strikes the basin, it will create a small saucer of moving water.
