Caesarian sections may increase asthma risk
Review hints that exposure to mum's microbes protects against asthma.
Children delivered by caesarian section are 20% more likely to develop asthma, concludes a new review of previous research. This may help to explain the skyrocketing incidence of asthma in recent decades, the researchers suggest.
