Abstract
Since the 1990s, hundreds of genomes have been sequenced, providing the great promise of new drug targets, a comprehensive understanding of cell metabolism and a deep well of knowledge for protein engineering. However, these goals cannot be realized until the molecular functions of newly identified proteins are known.
