FDA launches priority vouchers for neglected-disease drugs
Abstract
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has launched a new program intended to encourage companies to develop treatments for so-called neglected diseases. At the same time, a team of Canadian researchers has outlined a plan for broad sharing of intellectual property (IP) to increase innovation and ensure discoveries reach those that need them in developing countries.
