Kerry Black travelled the world in search of the best surf spots. Then he decided to build them himself — on land. Mark Schrope meets the maverick oceanographer.
Lori Wilson Park, near Cape Canaveral on Florida's east coast, is not known as one of the world's best surf spots. On a typical weekday approaching sunset, a handful of surfers might be found catching some good, but not great, waves.
