Abstract
Functional magnetic resonance imaging tracks changes in oxygen levels in the brain in response to different stimuli. The neural basis of these changes has, at last, been pinned down.
Over the past decade, research in the field of cognitive neuroscience has grown exponentially. To probe the mysteries of the human brain, scientists combine the experimental strategies of psychology with techniques that enable them to examine how brain activity supports mental processes.
