A highly mobile Laurentide ice sheet revealed by satellite images of glacial lineations

Abstract

Satellite images of the North American continent reveal previously unrecognized patterns of crossing drift lineations reflecting unexpected shifts of centres of mass of the Laurentide ice sheet throughout the last glacial cycle. Such shifts must must have been associated with major global atmospheric circulation changes.
