Technical analysis of IIASA energy scenarios Bill Keepin1 & Brian Wynne2
1Bill Keepin is at Beijer Institute, Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Box 50005, S-10405, Stockholm, Sweden
2Brian Wynne is at School of Independent Studies, University of Lancaster, Bailrigg, Lancaster LA6 1PJ, UK.
Despite the appearance of analytical rigour, IIASA's widely acclaimed global energy projections are highly unstable and based on informal guesswork. This results from inadequate peer review and quality control, raising questions about political bias in scientific analysis.
