Reactivity of the ɛ-Amino Group of Collagen

Abstract

IN view of the frequency with which the results of Bowes and Moss1 are quoted as indicating that only about 60 per cent of the ɛ-amino groups of lysine in collagen are available for reaction with fluorodinitrobenzene (FDNB), we should like to put on record the following observations.
