We are very happy to present the fourth Spotlight in Leukemia from over the last three years. This Spotlight is devoted to Genomics and to the unraveling of the molecular basis of leukemias and germane diseases. We feel that we are entering a new era in science, compelling us to reinterpret the meaning of our experiments. This leads us to new categories of diagnostic and prognostic groups, and as a result obliges us to embrace an utterly staggering number and complex network of genes.
We are honoured to have been delivered such high-class material. It will provide a window for the most talented emerging researchers in leukemia and lymphoma to write their ideas on recent progress and future directions in the study of hematologic malignancies—no doubt it will become a long-lasting reference in the field.
