Journal Information

Communications Psychology is a selective open access journal from Nature Research publishing high-quality research, reviews and commentary across all fields of psychological research. Primary research papers published by the journal represent significant advances of relevance to a specialized field.

Communications Psychology complements the other Nature Research journals by providing a new open access option for psychological research while applying less stringent criteria for impact and significance than the Nature-branded journals, including Nature Communications.

Communications Psychology publishes primary research Articles, Registered Reports, and Resources, as well as post-publication comments or clarifications called Matters Arising. The journal also publishes Reviews, Perspectives, and Comments to provide a forum for scholarly debate and to highlight community concerns. A guide to our content types can be found here. The peer-review reports for research, review, and opinion content are made publicly available with the published target article. For more information about transparent peer review, please refer to our FAQ  on the Resource page.

All Nature Research journals, including Communications Psychology, apply the same criteria for technical validity and adherence to ethical standards.
