Is there a difference in salivary pH between the maxilla and mandible?

Dental erosion is tooth wear caused by a decrease in intraoral (salivary) pH. Erosion is found to develop in different sites around teeth depending on the causes, which include acidic drinks and gastro reflux. In this study the authors use a special intraoral appliance to measure pH in different parts of the mouth to determine if there is a difference between the levels at the mandible and the maxilla.
