The new Cerec AC from Ceramic Systems enables clinicians to capture whole jaw arches quickly and conveniently without the need for impressions. It combines the new Bluecam camera with updated Cerec 3D software. Bluecam features high-performance LEDs which deliver optical impressions, ensuring the final restoration has excellent accuracy of fit, speeds up the bonding process and reduces any excess luting cement to be removed.

Each exposure triggers a series of measurements which are combined to generate the final image, which is virtually distortion-free even in peripheral areas. It can acquire optical impressions anywhere in the mouth, even those inaccessible to other cameras.

Easy to use, Bluecam speeds up treatment and enables users to pinpoint imaging sites. Plus, it is no longer necessary to maintain a prescribed clearance between the camera and tooth – making image capturing much simpler and quicker – and no longer necessary to depress the foot switch or closely co-ordinate movement between the eye and foot.

Consequently, entire quadrants or arches can be acquired quickly. It delivers razor-sharp images while its built-in shake detection system enhances overall precision. Its automatic exposure function and extensive depth of field means the entire impression-taking process can now be delegated.
