The Eastman's Sports Dentistry course is aimed at dental practitioners with an active interest in sport and offers excellent training for those dentists who work with elite athletes.

Delivered through lectures, seminars and clinical sessions, this nine day course spread over several months will include healing of hard and soft tissues including suturing, the recognition of neurological injury, stress and TMJ dysfunction, and tooth surface loss and the relationship with sporting activity.

As well as the dental and maxillofacial subjects covered, there will be lectures and demonstrations on topics such as sports physiology, psychology of sports injury, diet and nutrition, therapeutics and drugs in sport, and the medico-legal aspects of dental injuries.

At the end of the course participants will be able to take an active role in the healthcare of sports people and advise team doctors, physiotherapists and dieticians accordingly.
