Publisher Correction: An increase in the ¹²C + ¹²C fusion rate from resonances at astrophysical energies

In equation (1) of this Letter, the closing bracket was inadvertently missing. In Extended Data Fig. 1 and the accompanying legend, ‘Φ(p_d)’ should have been ‘Φ²(p_d)’. In Extended Data Table 1, the contents of columns referring to Γ_α1 and Γ_p1 are exchanged, and the spin value for the 2.567 MeV level should have been ‘J^π = 0⁺’ instead of ‘J^π = 3⁻’and for the 2.038 MeV level should have been ‘J^π = 5⁻’ instead of ‘J^π = 3⁻’. The reference citations in the legend to Fig. 2 have been corrected. Finally, in the Methods section ‘Modified R-matrix analysis’, after the sentence starting “Total and partial widths and related uncertainties...” the following sentence should have been included: “Odd J assignments are uncertain by ±1.” These errors have all been corrected online.
