Hitesh Bansal on how to get involved and why you shouldn't be deterred

I was a 4th year medical student when I decided I wanted to pursue a career in OMFS. I am now a second-degree dental student at King's College London, and regional representative for The Junior Trainees Group (JTG) of The British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (BAOMS). When I speak to dental students who show an interest in OMFS, they often have little knowledge of the training pathway, and what they do know, they understandably find very daunting. So, what is the training pathway, and what can you do to get involved?
