Family reflections: intensive therapies and clinical trials: a lifeline

Through the years of participating in clinical trials and intensives, we met families like us. Abby’s sister started to realize that there were other kids out there like her sister and there were other siblings out there that had sisters like Abby. We built a community at every intensive we went to which made us feel a little less isolated every time. We became connected with some of the best doctors and therapists. Best of all, Abby was flourishing and surpassing expectations. Intensives and clinical trials became our lifeline.
