The immune status of liver was investigated in 47 human fetuses after artificial abortions, performed because of social indications in practically healthy women on 15-22 weeks of gestation by techique of transabdominal amniocentesis with injection of prostin. The investigations were performed using of monoclonal antibodies (10 markers for T and B lymphocyte subsets) in reaction of indirect immunofluorescence on poly-l-lysine.

Extremely expressed variability of all studied parameters was discovered. We discovered mature T lymphocytes (CD3+) in concentration more than 2%. Relative immaturity of B cell immunity was established for the first time on the basis of prevalence of cells with heavy chains of Ig A, M, G over the number of lymphocytes with surface immunoglobulines (slg+); light chains(kappa and lambda chains of immunoglobulins) were investigated. We discovered that the expression of HLA-DR receptor was present not only on B cells but on hemopoetic precursors (CD34+) which were identified in percentage 4,35±1,29%. Significant number of cells (T lymphocytes and normoblasts) with receptor to transferrin (CD71+) were discovered. The results prove that fetal liver plays an important role as an active hemopoetic and immune organ during the period of 15-22 weeks of gestation.
