Physical Conditions and Evolution in the Hadron Era

Abstract

In this article the hadronic equation of state is discussed in the light of recent developments concerning an ultimate temperature. The value of the adiabatic exponent γ is determined and found to be less than 4/3. This is applied to Friedman universes to evaluate the effects on the expansion rate and on the growth of fluctuations during the hadron era.
