Interferometric Observations of Pulsars at 2.7 and 8.1 GHz

Abstract

TWENTY pulsars were observed during the period May 20 to 25, 1971, using the NRAO 3-element interferometer. The principal aims of the observations were (1) to obtain accurate position measurements independent of pulse timing considerations; (2) to determine the flux densities of pulsars at 2.7 GHz and also, for the strongest ones, at 8.1 GHz; and (3) to detect (or place upper limits on) any continuous, non-pulsed radio emission from regions of small angular size near the pulsars.
