Abstract
THE presence of immunoglobulin determinants on the surface of lymphocytes of man and other species has been demonstrated by a number of techniques (reviewed in ref. 1). These observations have evoked much interest because it is widely believed that membrane-associated immunoglobulins function as antigen receptors, and as such are of importance in a variety of cell-mediated and humoral immune phenomena1.
