Abstract
THE NADP-dependent glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH) (EC 1.4.1.4.) of Neurospora crassa is interesting because of the existence of many structural gene mutants producing functionally distinct GDH variants1. Study of the modified enzymes may illuminate the functional role of parts of the molecule containing amino-acid substitutions.
