Different Sequences for 5S RNA in Kidney Cells and Ovaries of Xenopus laevis

Abstract

There is one major sequence for 5S RNA in kidney cells of Xenopus laevis. In ovaries there are at least three additional sequences which differ from the kidney cell sequence by up to seven base changes.
