Nuclear Pore Complexes: “Press-Stud” Elements of Chromosomes in Pairing and Control

Abstract

Electron micrographs of nuclear pore complexes on eukaryotic chromosomes suggest a “press-stud” method of attachment of chromosomes to the nuclear envelope.
