Isolation and Characterization of Poly A Polymerase from Cell Debris of E. coli

Abstract

A poly A polymerase was found in cell debris fraction of E. coli when extracted with a neutral detergent. The enzyme protein was purified and characterized. As one of its biological roles, this enzyme was identified as a component of DNA dependent RNA polymerase.
