On publication, the News & Views article 'Molecular magnetism: A bridge to higher ground' (Nature Chem. 2, 351–352; 2010) contained some incorrect chemical formulae. These should have read [Mn(III)8Mn(IV)4O12(CH3CO2)16(H2O)4] and {Mn(III)8Mn(IV)4}. These were corrected in the online versions after print: 19 January 2016.
