A typical experimental procedure is given for compound 2a. ¹H NMR (400.1 MHz, CD₂Cl₂, 30 °C): δ 8.15 (d, 1H, ArH), 7.93 (m, 4H, ArH), 7.60 (m, 6H, ArH), 7.19 (s, 1H, ArH), 7.17 (s, 1H, ArH), 2.97 (m, 1H, Alkyl-CH), 2.73 (m, 2H, Alkyl-CH), δ2.61 (s, 3H, Alkyl-CH), δ2.52 (m, 1H, Alkyl-CH), 2.39 (s, 3H, Alkyl-CH); ³¹P{¹H} NMR (162.0 MHz, CD₂Cl₂, 30 °C) δ 39.7 (s, J_P-Pt = 3604 Hz). HRMS (ESI): m/z calcd for C₂₂H₂₃ClPPtS [M-Cl]⁺: 580.0594, found: 580.0573. Single crystals of X-Ray quality were grown by slow evaporation from dichloromethane in a NMR tube.
