Summary
Specific gravity (which is a measure of dry matter content) of potato tubers is an important character for the potato breeder. A survey of published and unpublished data shows that it is but little subject to genotype-environment interaction. Probably, genotype × seasons effects are slighdy greater than genotypes × locations effects.
