The Chinese government has taken a series of steps to reform China’s drug regulatory system since 2015. To gauge the impact of these reforms, we investigated the availability in China of new drugs approved by the FDA during 2015–2020, as an update to our previous analogous analysis using data from 2004–2014 (Nat. Rev. Drug Discov.15, 739–740; 2016).
