Abstract
Physical symptoms for which there is no adequate organic pathology may be psychological in origin. The concept of somatisation described in this paper may be helpful in understanding these unexplained symptoms. Two case histories describe unusual physical symptoms that occurred following dental treatment and the role of somatisation in their development
