Xeno III bonding agent from Dentsply

Xeno III, the new bonding agent from Dentsply combines performance with speed - giving high bond strengths with self-etching. Dentsply claims Xeno III has a visible, controllable mixing step, and with no need to etch or rinse, the whole bonding procedure is completed in less than 40 seconds.

Dentsply also says that the Xeno III makes use of a water and ethanol mix as a solvent. It contains 2 unique, patented adhesion promoters giving high bond strength to both dentine and enamel, and with a pH value of less than 1 it has good etching efficacy.

The product is claimed by Dentsply to be suitable for all cavity classes using materials such as; light cured composites and compomers. Also in the Dentsply Restorative range is Esthet·X Micro Matrix restorative which combines the following: stay-Fresh cap, rubber pads and wider paddles, a new thread design for an easier twist and colour coded labels. More from the DBG

The Dental Buying Group is pleased to announce that the new Ceramic milling system from Ceric is now available at the DBG Laboratories.

DBG claims the system allows dentists to offer their patients an all-ceramic, translucent restoration with high strengths and a precise fit combined with aesthetics.

The material used can be in Spinell, which is a more translucent alumina oxide for anterior teeth and Zirconia, which exhibits extremely high strengths and is therefore more suitable for posterior bridgework.

Diamond polishing

The new Luminescence from QuickWhite is a patented, one-step diamond polishing system. A lustrous even porcelain surface can be achieved in only minutes due to the optimal concentration of micron sized diamond particles.

The company claims the Luminescence will enhance the brightness of the patient's teeth further when used after tooth whitening with QuickWhite. The company also says that the Luminescence is easy to use and gives complete access to multiple surfaces without generating heat.

QuickWhite claims that dentists will be able to polish the surface of composites, glass inomoer, compomer, almalgam and enamel in less than 2 minutes.

The SmarTemp from Prestige Dental

The SmarTemp from Prestige Dental is a restorative material and is ideal for use as provisional crowns and bridges. Manufactured by Parkell, SmarTemp is 64 per cent filled with barium glass and fumed silical. This creates a tough, wear-resistant restoration that is less brittle and less likely to fracture if the patient has a heavy bite.

In addition, independent research at Ohio University revealed that SmarTemp's flexural strength is more than 30 per cent greater than its counterparts, meaning less chance of cracking in multi-unit applications

Get to understand the Gradia system

Dentists can now see the life-like effect of GC's Gradia System first hand by viewing the complimentary Gradia CD from GC UK. The system introduces the product, advising them of the composition of the high strength micro-hybrid composite system and then goes on to provide dentists with a full colour video show of real cases.

GC UK regularly runs Gradia courses at their European headquarters in Belgium. The full 2-day course is aimed at dental technicians although many dentists have taken the opportunity to learn more about the system. Dentists will learn how to make aesthetically pleasing indirect inlays and full crowns during the practical sessions in GC's fully equipped laboratory. GC's technician will demonstrate the Gradia System to its full extent.

For a free CD or for further information phone GC UK on 01908 218999 or e-mail mailto:gcuk@btinternet.com.
