Tackle sensitive teeth with Ivoclar Vivadent

The brand new Systemp.desensitizer from Ivoclar Vivadent has been developed specifically to tackle the problem of sensitive teeth and reduce the discomfort that some patients experience. Ivoclar Vivadent claims it is particularly suitable for reducing the risk of sensitivity when restoring teeth, and can be beneficial for a wide range of other indications.

The Systemp.desensitizer conditions, desensitises and cleans exposed or cut dentine surfaces, making it an ideal preparation for temporary restorations. It may also be used prior to conventional cementation of indirect restorations or with amalgam or glass ionomer direct restorations.

Ivoclar Vivadent also claims that after brushing into the dentine surface for just 10 seconds, the desensitizer acts to disinfect and seal the dentine tubules, reducing the movement of fluid and consequently reducing or even eliminating sensitivity to pain.
