Impressions you will remember from GC

GC's range of impression materials include the GC Exafast NDS. The NDS Exafast consists of the GC wash material and the Exafast putty. The GC Exafast putty is an extremely fast setting putty material, ideally for use in the single step technique. The Exafast wash material comes in 3 viscosities to suit dentists' preferred technique.

All are supplied in cartridges for speed and ease of application. GC claims that as the material sets so quickly there is less risk of distortion due to movement during setting.

GC claims the Exafast NDS family of addition-cured silicones provide quality, accurate and consistent impressions every time. Exafast NDS allows dentists to produce very smooth and highly precise impressions in only 2 minutes, improving productivity and maximising the comfort of patients.

Also from GC is the new GC Impression Tray full colour brochure. The brochure contains all patterns of GC's array of trays, which are illustrated to help dentists choose the right tray for their technique. The range includes both plastic and metal stock trays, in perforated and non-perforated styles. For more information phone 01908 218 999.

A new Wide Boy

Myerson Limited are pleased to announce Premier's NEW Wide bodied Triple Tray, ideal for both routine and challenging posterior impressions of 1 to 2 units.

This new Wide Body Triple Tray is 19% longer than the original Posterior Triple Tray, capturing up to six teeth to provide an excellent record of master impression, counter-impression and bite registration simultaneously. The sides of the tray are tapered and significantly lower than the original posterior tray, yet offer better retention of material than sideless designs.

Due to the 33% wider impression area and tapered walls, there is less chance of tissue impingement when the patient closes. The tray design is particularly helpful if there is a cross arch discrepancy, teeth are misaligned or if the patient has a large arch. For more information phone 020 8863 9044.

A pleasant and minty flavour from 3M ESPE

3M ESPE has developed the innovative Impregum Penta Soft monophase material. The new formula allows simple removal from the patient's mouth, even in situations complicated by periodontal damage.

In the dental laboratory, removal is both easy and reliable even for plaster casts with long abutment teeth. The previously bitter taste has now been replaced by a pleasant minty flavour.

The lower ultimate hardness provides an impression which necessitates less blocking-out of undercuts. 3M ESPE claims this significantly shortens working times wit

hout compromising precision. Due to its natural initial hydrophilicity, the material already displays excellent flow at the time of syringing. For more information phone 01509 613 121.
