The project will involve close collaboration with all the general dental practices in Morecambe Bay and the three acute hospitals in Lancaster, Barrow and Kendal.

GDPs will be able to directly book patients who require routine minor oral surgery to the appropriate operating list, enabling patients to have 'one-stop' visits. In addition, urgent referrals for oral cancer will be directly booked onto the consultant's clinic ensuring that the target for the two week cancer wait is achieved.
