Abstract

STUDIES carried out at Urana, New South Wales, from 1950 to 19531 showed that the pattern of myxomatosis epidemiology in Australia consists of regular, summer mosquito-borne epizootics, in which most susceptible animals are infected and a large percentage die. Recent studies(unpublished results of R. T. W. and I. P.) indicate a much reduced case mortality rate but a similar epidemiology.
