Abstract

THE known distribution patterns of Gm and Inv antigens reflect remarkably the accepted historical relationships of different human groups1. In this communication we report new developments which modify the previously recognized pattern of Gm and Inv variation in Melanesian populations and its implications for Melanesian prehistory.
