Reactivity of anti-D Immunoglobulin G Subunits

Abstract

IgG anti-A1 and IgM anti-B2 antibodies have been shown to bind by two binding sites to the surface of human group A and B cells respectively. I now report that IgG anti-D, on the other hand, only binds through one of the binding sites on the IgG molecule to Rh-positive red cells.
