Circular Dichroism Study of the f2al Histone in the Presence of Polyvinyl-phosphate and DNA

Abstract

PHYSICOCHEMICAL studies of the interaction of single molecular histone species with DNA are of interest because of their relevance to chromosomal structure. We report the spacing of the anionic phosphate groups, which is here the results of a circular dichroism study which indicates that interaction with polyvinylphosphate or DNA dramatically alters the conformation of the f2al histone.
