Abstract
INTERNEURONES capable of discriminating motion have been found in the medulla, lobula and central brain of such insects as Calliphora phaenicia and Muscadomestica1–3. These interneurones discharge selectively in response to simple motion in one direction. I report here the demonstration of units that respond to complex motion.
