Isolation of Polysomes from Mouse Plasmacytomas

Abstract

THE difficulty of isolating polysomes from many tissues, including plasma cell tumours1–4, has been attributed to the release of ribonuclease (RNase) following cellular disruption. Thus the quality of poly some preparations isolated from tissues containing high concentrations of RNase should be improved by procedures that decrease the time that polysomes are exposed to the crude cell lysate.
