Light Induced Proton Gradient links Electron Transport and Phosphorylation

Abstract

A rapid ph detection technique has provided quantitative evidence for the idea that the link between light driven electron transport and ATP synthesis is an electrochemical gradient resulting from the movement of ions across the membranes of chloroplasts.
