Organic Geochemical Studies. I. Molecular Criteria for Hydrocarbon Genesis

Abstract

In organic geochemical studies, it is important to develop criteria for distinguishing between chemicals produced by inorganic means and those which are the product of living processes. Molecules which consist of isoprene units have been particularly important, and abiogenic construction now seems possible.
